Unassuming spot in strip mall in Chicago's suburbs. Despite a small corner of the menu that lists their modest selection of "tropical drinks" and the Tiki decor scattered around, this can only be marginally considered a Tiki bar. This is more like a Chinese restaurant with a Tiki theme...Definitely worth popping in if you happen to be in the neighborhood, but not worth going very much out of your way for unless you're a completist.

Great spot, super friendly staff! I tried one of their original drinks, the Papua New Grani, which was excellent. The Mai Tai, Zombie, and Puka Punch that my companions ordered were well crafted and tasty as well. Can't wait to visit again!

Great spot, we come here every time we pass through Long Beach - our first visit was in 2019, when they first opened.

My only criticism is that they've gone QR-only instead of a physical menu. I hate this trend.

Dropped in to pick up some art that I'd commissioned, and was impressed by Dawn's friendliness and her amazing Tiki retreat. Her art is amazing, and these pieces will always have a prominent place in my own home oasis.

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to visit this bar while it was open, but I did check out the exterior (and took some pics) when I accidentally stumbled on it while getting breakfast at the diner across the street. Judging from the pictures and what I can glean from online articles, this place must have really been something.

Not a Tiki bar anymore, but there are clues to its past glory here and there. The Big Kahuna is a gigantic, sugary, high-octane Mai-Tai-ish drink that I highly recommend to either start or finish the evening.

Basic dive bar, but one can definitely see that this place was amazing at one time. From the beautiful sign to the Witco decor, this is one more spot that makes me wish I had a time machine.

The word's northernmost Tiki bar! Wonderful drinks - traditional and interesting originals - by the light of the midnight sun. If you make it to Tromso, definitely stop by!

Visited this place right after they opened, so it wasn't totally set up yet. Nice people and drinks, a good adjunct to a classic Berlin music venue.

By pure coincidence we happened to visit during a surf festival, so we enjoyed the vintage ambience and original drinks all to the soundtrack of some awesome surf bands.

Amazing home Tiki hideway. I was fortunate enough to be asked by Justin to DJ at the Sandy Bottom during the last Tiki Kon, as it was one of the stops on the home Tiki bar bus tour. We spent a wonderful day with Justin and a couple of friends hanging out, drinking Tiki concoctions, ready to spring into action at the call of "The bus is here!" from upstairs. Everyone would take their places, I'd slap a slab of vintage Exotica on the turntable, and we'd entertain a gaggle of sightseers for a half hour or so until they were all shepherded back onto the bus for the trip to the next spot. At the sound of the bus' doors closing, air-brakes releasing, and engine receding into the distance, we'd all relax, pour another drink and wait for tge next group to arrive. All in all a wonderful way to spend a day, and I know I'm just one of dozens of Tiki enthusiasts grateful to Justin and Greg for giving us a glimpse into their own.private slice of paradise.

Classic bar in the basement of the Munich Hilton Hotel. Made the mistake of asking the waiter if we might be able to purchase glassware, a branded plate, or a saucer. He said that that wasn't possible, but from that point on he didn't take his eyes off of us. We noticed him peeking at us from behind shelving and around corners. It was comical, and it was too absurd to be angry about. I do wish we'd gotten out of there with some dishes or at least a menu. Great drinks, of course.

Nice spot in Sydney's Enmore neighborhood. Friendly staff, great drinks, and a classy but slightly understated ambience. I like my Tiki bars with a bit more clutter, but this one is still great.

Wonderful spot. Had a few birthday celebrations here, and was pretty bummed when they closed. Luckily, the new-and-improved version appeared in its spot not long after, and I've enjoyed Hale Pele ever since.

Definitely neither Tiki nor a bar, but I agree wholeheartedly with its inclusion on this site. A Portland classic, almost like an extension of the Alibi's outdoor decor. Try to ignore the tweakers lurking in the parking lot and imagine those halcyon pre-Interstate 5 days when this road (Interstate Avenue) was a bustling, brightly-lit thoroughfare lined with neon signs.
