Tong's Tiki Hut
7 May 2026
Unassuming spot in strip mall in Chicago's suburbs. Despite a small corner of the menu that lists their modest selection of "tropical drinks" and the Tiki decor scattered around, this can only be marginally considered a Tiki bar. This is more like a Chinese restaurant with a Tiki theme...Definitely worth popping in if you happen to be in the neighborhood, but not worth going very much out of your way for unless you're a completist.

Tong's Tiki Hut
Villa Park, Illinois, United States
Tong's Tiki Hut in Villa Park is the last remaining location of a small Chicago-area chain of Chinese/Polynesian restaurants. Open since at least 1982. This location still has plenty of old-school tiki charm, with rock walls, tapa cloth lamps, and some nice big tikis. Food is the tiki-traditional "Polynesian" Chinese including a flaming pupu platter, and there is a full bar with drinks served in mugs.
