Laki Kane - Oxford Street - London

Well, I guess in the relative Tiki desert that is the UK, this is about as good as it gets. Yes, there are Tikis and thatch. Yes, there are Tiki drinks on the menu. But the blasting hip hop and dance club / disco atmosphere made the prospect of staying for even a single drink unbearable, so we split. Sigh.
Tiki Bar
Laki Kane - Oxford Street - London
United Kingdom
The first Laki Kane opened in July of 2018 and was located in the heart of Upper Street Islington, London. It closed on September 1st, 2025.
The bar then re-located and re-opened here on Oxford Street, London in March 2026.
The Laki Kane tropical bar brand was founded by former Mahiki Global creative manager Georgi Radev. The move comes as part of a partnership with The Breakfast Group, and Laki Kane takes over the site formerly occupied by Burlock Rum Bar.
This new location features late-night drinking and dancing, with a 3am license, aiming to attract both existing fans and a wider West End audience.
Laki Kane previously established a reputation for its transportive interiors, rum-focused cocktails and interactive guest experiences. The Oxford Street location is much smaller than the previous location and has a club-focused atmosphere, including a dance floor and DJ booth.
They have a Caribbean-inspired food menu created in collaboration with celebrity chef Collin Brown. The food is designed to complement the bar’s extensive rum program and features dishes such as Rum BBQ Wings with June Plum and Lime, Jerk Chicken with Sweet and Sour Miso, Salt Fish Fritters with Mango Chilli and the signature Laki Chicken Burger.
In addition to its food and drink offerings, Laki Kane Oxford Street offers a range of events, including a Spirit of Tiki brunch, rum tastings, rum-making workshops and cocktail masterclasses inspired by Radev’s book, Let’s Get Tropical. The brand is known for its theatrical cocktail presentations and focus on experiential guest engagement, and this new venue is continuing that tradition.
