Severed Santa Mug - by Dave Helfrey and Munktiki Imports - for BG Reynolds

From the BG Reynolds Severed Santa Mug Kickstarter Page:

"BG Reynolds is back with a brand new kickstarter featuring a ghoulishly delightful SEVERED SANTA HEAD MUG!

BG Reynolds' Severed Santa serves tribute to one of the classic and rare tiki mug treasures, the Severed Head mug from Ren Clark's Polynesian Village. Tiki aficionados and mug collectors scour their eBays, thrift stores and estate sales regularly in search of the elusive head. While our Severed Santa may not be quite as legendary, we're certain it too could make people ask 'Why the hell would anyone make a mug of a severed head'?

Have your holiday gifts left you feeling detached? What better way to celebrate the holidays than the grim remnant of this cherished character sitting on your shelf. Who wants a kiss under the mistletoe? Santa's ready for some action! Just one look at his visceral visage will have everyone saying 'I want to put my lips on that'!

Maybe you want to tell someone you don't like them? Why not slip into their house late at night while they're sleeping*, just as Santa would, and slip Santa's Severed Head under their pillow to let them know there won't be gifts under the tree for them this year.

      • Our lawyers advise that we need to pay our lawyers up front. They'd probably also say BG Reynolds does not condone or endorse breaking and entering.

As some of you may know, BG Reynolds makes some of the best mixers for your homemade cocktails. And for this kickstarter, BG Reynolds will be producing an extra special Severed Santa edition Hot Buttered Rum mix featuring a spicy kick, and a rich bloody red color that's sure to add some awe to your holiday cocktails. Look for it in our rewards, or add it as and add on!

Santa's gruesome grimace, with lolling tongue and thousand yard stare is sure to delight children of some ages. Just think, this could be great for your holiday budget, because with just one glance at this mug, your children may never want to celebrate Christmas again! And no gifts for Christmas is the gift that keeps giving every single year.

Our Severed Santa mug was designed by renowned and belovéd illustrator Dave Helfrey, and will be produced through the magnificent Munktiki Imports. His corpulent countenance will hold a warm and toasty 12 oz of Holiday cheer, sure to warm your guts in the dead of winter."

Their jutting jaws were traditionally held to be an attribute of spirits.

This edition of 25 mugs was made by our ceramics team in Max’s in-house ceramics studio. All mugs are numbered on the bottom. They hold 14 oz of liquid. The mug comes in two pieces, with the mug resting on the shoulders and arms."

The Witch Doctor - Blue Stain With Dark Blue Wash - by Derek Yaniger - for Tiki Farm

This mug is shaped like the head of a cartoonish cross-eyed witch doctor with a bone through his nose and a horned doctor's hat that looks inspired by The Loyal Order of Water Buffaloes from The Flintstones.

    From Tiki Farm:

"The Doctor is IN! Tiki Farm proudly introduces our newest experiment…'The Witch Doctor' designed for us by long-time Tiki Farm contributing artist, Derek Yaniger!

At first glance, it seems like just another fun lovin’ tiki mug from Derek and your friends at Tiki Farm, but BEWARE! Legend has it that the evil spirit of The Witch Doctor inhabits every single mug.

Use caution when mixing potions, creating hexes, and casting spells at your next Tiki gathering, for only the finest mixers and elixirs will appease the angry spirit of The Witch Doctor! Failure to do so could result in some seriously bad mojo! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Fill the good Doctor up with a nicely crafted cocktail and you will be REWARDED!

On the reverse of our Witch Doctor, you’ll discover a secret voodoo symbol. Teams of archeologists have tried to decipher its meaning, but all have failed. Is it a long-lost Zombie cocktail recipe so powerful that it could change the world forever?!? Perhaps an ancient incantation that if spoken aloud would unlock all the mysteries of the most delicious Mai-tai?!? What is the true meaning of the secret voodoo symbol? Only The Witch Doctor knows!!"

Mug Of Mugs - TikiLand Mug Society Edition - Deep Brown With Black Wipe

    From Tikiland Trading:

"Introducing the 'Mug of Mugs'. This tiki mug pays homage to some of our favorite classic tiki mugs, while PNG style masks lean on this bamboo tiki mug rack.

When brainstorming this tiki mug, Lost Tiki had an idea for some type of wooden tiki mug rack which featured tiki mugs, and PNG style masks. He drew out some rough sketches and then brainstormed with Tiki TOny and Tom 'Thor' Thordarson. Thor was able to capture the essence of the idea in his sketch (which is featured on the recipe card) and we all loved what he conceptualized. A true master of his craft, Thor absolutely nailed the sculpt of this mug, painstakingly sculpting each individual tiki mug that is featured on the racks. From the Bumatay to Tiki Bob, we hope you love this design as much as we do.

The 'Mug of Mugs' comes with a custom recipe 'Drink of Drinks' created by Kelly Merrell."

*This version was an exclusive for TikiLand Mug Society members and had an all-over brown glaze with a deep brown/black wipe, in a satin finish. Soon after, on 12/10/2021, a glossy brown glazed Limited Classic Edition of 400 was released.

The Lost Leatherneck of the South Pacific #101 a.k.a. The Lost Leatherneck Skull

    From the Eekum Bookum website:

"When John originally designed the mug, the goal was to reimagine the classic skull mug in a way that he had not seen done before. He also wanted to pay tribute to the men and women of the Armed Forces that have given the ultimate sacrifice to our country. As many of you know, John is a combat veteran and MIA/POW issues are something that’s near and dear to many of our hearts. There are still 71,000 Americans unaccounted for from World War II alone.

Leatherneck is a military slang term for a member of the United States Marine Corps.

We named this mug the Lost Leatherneck of the South Pacific for the Marines that were lost during World War II in the South Pacific. We wanted to release the mug on Memorial Day but time got away from us…. so instead we’re going to release it on the Fourth of July. While you’re out there enjoying yourself with a delicious Tiki drink in your hand, remember that freedom isn’t free and hoist a toast to the men women who gave it all.

The mug is a skull laying on its back half buried in the sand. The dog tags read Leroy J Salisbury-US Marine Corps, a tribute to Janet’s Dad who served in the South Pacific during World War II as a marine infantry man. Her Dad rarely talked about the details of the war until about a year before he died. He shared some of the horrors he had lived though and shared the night terrors that continued to plague his sleep for over 70 years. He died 2 years ago, just short of his 95th birthday.

This stoneware mug sculpted by Mulder142 is 6.5 inches long, 4.5 inches wide, stands 5 inches tall to the top of the teeth and hold 14 ounces of your favorite grog. There are two dog tags attached to each mug…"
