    Trader Dick's Moai Demitasse Cup With Handle

    A slim ceramic demitasse cup with a handle and featuring a Moai on front. White with gold accents on top and bottom rim and handle. It was originally accompanied by a demitasse saucer also labeled for Trader Dick's and measuring 3" across. The same handled demitasse cup design was also used for a Dick Graves Nugget Casino glass featuring the Last Chance Joe miner mascot. These demitasse cups have a sticker on the bottom shaped like a clover leaf and labeled "PCDG Japan." 4" tall by 1.25" wide or 2" wide including handle.

    Trader Dick's Peanut Mug a.k.a. Orchids of Hawaii R-3

    Souvenir tiki available with drink purchase at Trader Dick's, in the Nugget Casino in Sparks, NV (just outside Reno). Mug is the same design as the R-3 from Orchids of Hawaii. Mug has a sort of peanut-shaped body, with an aggressive sharp-toothed head, and jewels for eyes. Back has "Trader Dick's ®" in raised dark letters. Bottom has simple rectangular gold "MADE IN CHINA" sticker.

    Trader Nick's Tiki Bowl a.k.a. Trader Nick's Beachcomber Style Tiki Bowl

    This is an unmarked oval shaped bowl with Tikis on either end. The bowl has a wood grain texture. The Tikis have flat-topped heads with slanted eyes and look exactly like earlier Don the Beachcomber salt and pepper sets. Nick's was in business until 1999.

    The Den Of Sin Maori Devil Tiki Mug - First Edition - Matte Red with Black Wash a.k.a. The Den of Sin Home Bar Devil Tiki Mug Red

    This is a red-glazed tiki mug shaped like the bust (mid waist up) of a devilish horned tiki, dressed in a suave suit, with Maori Moko face tattoos, holding a martini in his hands. Jason & Staci Smith worked with Doug Horne to bring their concept to life. John Mulder sculpted and manufactured the finished mug. The Den of Sin is the home bar of Jason & Staci and since they live in Las Vegas, the back of the mug features the vintage skyline of The Strip. This first edition was followed by a "Beachcomber Glaze" second edition in a blue/green and a glossier candy apple red third edition.

    Miehana

    This highly stylized tiki character was designed by artist Kevin Kidney for an Orange County museum exhibit celebrating tiki in the late 1990s. Try spelling Miehana's name backward to get the local connection. This mug followed in 2004. There is a Miehana orange juice-based drink designed especially for this mug by Jeff Berry. The mug is matte black with an orange glazed interior.

    Thsi fogcutter was manufactured by Vernon Kilns for the Honolulu Trader Vic's. It has a brown top and bottom rim and features a topless hula girl on each side. Each girl has dark hair and a red lei. One is dancing, and the other appears to be picking fruit from a tree.

    The Book of Tiki 10th Anniversary Mug a.k.a. The Tiki Reviver

    This mug is based on the Tiki from the cover art of Sven Kirsten's The Book of Tiki. It was sculpted by Moritz Reichelt and produced by Tiki Farm in an open edition. It premiered April 10th, 2011 at the Bahooka and came with a recipe card for the "Tiki Reviver Cocktail" which was created by Beachbum Berry. Mug is brown with orange interior.

    Ren Clark Look-Alike Salt and Pepper Shakers for The Islands a.k.a. The Islands 10th Anniversary Salt & Pepper Set

    These black and white glazed Tiki shakers have slanted, almond-shaped eyes, a smile that flares out at the edges, a pig-like nose, hands meeting with thumbs up in front, and recessed swirl designs at top and bottom. They were given out for free (one per family) at the July 4th, 1968 brunch event for the restaurant's 10th Anniversary. Modeled after the signature tiki for Ren Clark's Polynesian Village which was carved by Milan Guanko.

    The Art of Tiki Mug Open Edition a.k.a. The Art of Tiki Mug Third Edition

    This mug is based on a Milan Guanko tiki pictured in Sven Kirsten's The Art of Tiki and formerly used on menus by The Islands Restaurant in Phoenix, AZ (which opened in 1958 and was later known as "Tommy Wong's Islands" in the 1970s). The tiki has simple features with half-circle eyes, a long nose, rectangular mouth, and stylized rootball hair on top. Concept for mug by Sven. Sculpt by THOR. The first edition in dark brown was sold exclusively through La Luz de Jesus Gallery's "Art of Tiki" Show and book signing starting October 6, 2017. Presented by Otto Von Stroheim & Sven Kirsten. The second edition was in an orange glaze. This third and open edition in tan has a dark brown wash to pick out details.

    This all-white tiki was designed by Joe Vitale and created by Tiki Farm for the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender in 2005. The tiki is straightforward, with a Ku-like headdress, and atop its head there is a crown with dice and flames; "VLV" is in recessed letters at the front of the crown.

    Vicious Virgin Bowl Arm Lowered a.k.a. Los Angeles Islander Vicious Virgin Bowl Arm Lowered, Kneeling Hula Girl Bowl Arm Lowered

    This pink bowl with blue/green glaze running down the sides features three nude girls around the outside. Each is kneeling and has her hands behind her back. Wood grain pattern on underside of bowl. The Los Angeles Islander menu shows a drink served in this bowl, also called the "Vicious Virgin" and this is pictured in Sven Kirsten's The Book of Tiki on page 163. The featured drink appears to have been a version of the daiquiri, made with Virgin Islands rum, limes, and rock candy syrup.
