Tonga Lei Fog Cutter Tiki Mug

in 1 collection

This golden brown mug is shaped like a tiki head with open figure-eight mouth and heavy brow ridge. It is marked "Vermonde Original" on bottom. This mug is pictured in The Tonga Lei's menu. The Tonga Lei was a restaurant and motel on the Pacific Coast Highway in scenic Malibu, and operated from 1961 and into the '70s (1977?), when it became a Don the Beachcomber.
