A large, slightly hourglass shaped, mug that is hand carved and decorated with an applied Ancestor Mask resembling those created by the people of the Sepik River region of Papua New Guinea. The mask is decorated with beads, natural twine, and shells. Primary glaze colors are red, white and brown. The stylized carvings on the back of the mug are done in the same colors.
The mug is high fired (cone 10) stoneware. The mask is press molded from the mask of JMC's earlier Sepik Phallacy Mug.
Mug was awarded during a raffle on 2020-05-01 supporting Max's South Seas Hideaway.

Notes
Michael Sbicca states that the mug is a "1/1 wheelthrown and handcarved Sepik River mug. The mask is made with a press mold from my old Sepik Phallacy mug and given a custom carving. This is one of the last pieces from my old studio, so this is a high fire, cone 10 ware."
