"This limited edition, vintage glaze tiki mug (125 produced & numbered) was created to honour the mythical legend called Poseidon's Downfall.

So what brought down the greatest of the sea gods? Like many mortals (and tiki aficionados), Poseidon couldn't resist that age old combination of booze 'n broads. Or in my mug creation, beautiful, buxom mermaids and strong navy rum.

Each limited edition mug also contains a new tiki cocktail recipe called the Poseidon's Downfall, a tasty concoction of dark rums, guava juice, falernum and seaweed tincture.

Each mug holds a 24 oz. drink (7 inches high, 4 inch base). Quality artist ceramics.

Mug created and commissioned by Chris McKee. Artwork and casting by Poly's Custom Shop, Vancouver, BC, Canada."

Polyphemus was one of the Cyclopes described in Homer's Odyssey.

"Cynocephalus" means "dog head" in Greek, but although this seems like a misnomer, the Yellow Baboon species does have a dog-like head and muzzle and were given this Greek name.

    From Undertow:

"We are very excited to introduce to you our new limited edition 'Cynocephalus Polyphemus' mug released in collaboration with @theshrunkenmonkey, a.k.a. David O'Connell. This intricate creation was inspired by the unpublished 'Chapter Eight: Rattle and Bones, Games of Chance and Valor,' chronicling a tale where these rare one-eyed baboon skulls were made as an offering to the Chief of Peace for safe passage aboard the Undertow. You're invited to join us on Friday, April 29 from noon to 2 pm on the Century Grand Patio to pick up your mug, meet & greet the talented artist, and enjoy a frozen crafted cocktail in it — on us. Each mug is priced at $300, and there are only 100 available for purchase."

And we've got just the mug to do it. Crafted in honor of Ferdinand, the metal bull (or, as anyone who's taken the tour can tell you...metal steer) that guards the entrance to the stillhouse, these stylish mugs are perfect for holding your favorite tropical cocktail for many summers to come. Come on out to the ranch and grab a mug to bring a taste of the Hye-lands with you. Or, better yet, enjoy the full experience by purchasing one of our limited-time tiki cocktails at the Whiskey Shack, and take your mug home at a discounted price!

Mugs are available on their own for $25, or $20 when purchased with one of our signature cocktails. "

    From Peekaboo Gallery:

"This impressive chalice, 'THE CANNIBAL' is based on an original Tiki post carving by LeRoy Schmaltz created for the famous Don the Beachcomber restaurant at The Sahara Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. This Beachcomber location featured some of the most elaborate and wide-ranging décor of any in the company’s chain across the globe. A series of eight entrance posts were fabricated by Oceanic Arts for placement at the interior of the venue. Each of these tall entrance tikis were unique and represented an amalgamation of Polynesian tribal styles. Upon the closing of the Las Vegas restaurant in the 1970s, the company sold a good deal of its décor back to Oceanic Arts. Over the years, OA sold or repurposed much of this décor into their Luau Rental Department.

The mug was designed by Peekaboo Gallery owner and author of OCEANIC ARTS: The Godfathers of TIKI, JORDAN REICHEK. The design is a representation of the Don the Beachcomber, 'Cannibal Post' carving and it features a base that pays homage to OA’s famous rope-wrapped brass tiki table lamp shades. This mug is MASSIVE, measuring 9 inches tall and 5 inches wide at the base, holding approximately 18oz of liquid gold! It comes in a special commemorative OA box."

This is a pocked and weathered white skull with cosmic nebulae and starry galaxies peeking through the eye sockets, mouth cavity, and through a break in the back cranium. These celestial vistas look kinda psychedelic like they were designed by American comic book artist Jack Kirby back in his heyday.

Released in an edition of 400, the Green Decay edition is available at Mothership - a sci-fi tropical themed bar in San Diego that is a partnership between the owner of Kindred and CH Projects (False Idol, Polite Provisions, Raised By Wolves and more).

Designed by Ignacio “Notch” Gonzalez, Mothership imagines a restaurant and cocktail lounge build from the ruins of a crash landed ship on a tropical alien planet.

From the Mothership website: "The Ancient Astronaut Shuttle Crew, aboard the A.A.S.C. MOTHERSHIP, boldly explores the darkest, furthest edges of the tropical-flavor galaxy. Cosmic rays blast from a solar flare and blow the MOTHERSHIP’s electronics into disarray. The psycho-space marauders are left with no option but to execute emergency landing protocols on the nearest planet. Off-board, the tight-knit Crew explores the lush surroundings. They discover no sentient life, but unexplainable events occur and a lurking presence is felt. The mysterious, uncharted ecosystem has few resources to repair the ship -- but ample plant life and curious, intoxicating spirits. In time, the Crew accepts that they are marooned in a sinister, fertile paradise. They establish a colony and fashion the ship into a base camp, including quarters of leisure. Together, the fearless crew members commit to adventurous coexistence with the natural life of the planet, not in desperate peril, but on a ...PERMANENT VACATION."

The Sandwich Isle Tikis stand at approx. 24cm tall and hold approximately 500mls of your favorite drink. The Lono Tikis stand at approx. 22cm tall and hold approximately 400mls of your favorite drink

The Island Girls stand at approx. 23cm tall and hold approximately 600mls of your favorite cocktail OR mocktail!. They are made by hand from white earthenware pottery, lead free food safe glaze and love.

The base is made out of resin and has another coating of clear resin so that this can be wiped down after use, please hand wash only - these are NOT dishwasher safe and please be careful when washing around the little shrubs. There are also small cut-outs of faux grass for both mugs, please note - these will crinkle with perspiration from your drink - they have been added for a soft touch-down for your mug and also the little areas where the mugs sit are not completely level to the mug so they also stop the mug from any wiggle when being carried, these little grassy patches can not be washed."

This crude-looking blue coffee mug with white anchor on front could be easily overlooked, but the bottom is marked "P.P. Trader Vic's Hawaii" and it is featured on the Trader Vic's Waikiki menu among other Polynesian Pottery pieces made exclusively for that location. This was used to serve their Navy Grog.

This loball tiki mug features a top-like base that allows it to wobble and spin slowly without spilling.

These were created in a large variety of glaze colors (pink, green, red, black, rainbow, etc).

    From Black Lagoon Designs:

"Meet my latest cocktail mug, my Rolling Tiki cocktail glass!. This tiki is sure to be a talking point at your next cocktail event.

This glass holds approximately 500ml of liquid and stands approximately 14cm tall. Please note - these were made by hand and not on a wheel and are not exactly a sphere however they do roll extremely well. The bottom of these tikis are un-glazed ceramic and will feel rough to the touch, dark liquids such as red-wine may stain the un-glazed area of these glasses however I have put mine through the dishwasher with no permanent stain remaining. This glass has undergone a number of glaze 'washes' and will have darker marks in some areas, spots or wipe marks - this all happens during the process and is the effect that I was hoping for and wanted - please ensure that you view the images attached carefully prior to purchase. "

*NOTE: There is also a similarly shaped tapa decorated rolling glass by Black Lagoon Designs.
