Tiki tOny made his first Volcano Island Bowls in the summer of 2007 with the help of Cory Bluemling. Cory threw the first 5 or so on a wheel for Tony, who then sculpted all the details after that. The one pictured below and after that were all made by Tony from start to finish, however. The lava texture is made from an actual piece of lava pressed into the wet clay. The straw holders around the rim come in several themes including skulls, toucans, monkeys, and tikis.
