This mug depicts the shrunken head of a sea captain with one bulging eye and a bone through its nose. The captain’s left eye and mouth has been sewn shut, along with his ears. It is wearing a hat with a golden anchor depicted on front.
These had quite a few color variations in glazing, color of cording, types of bones, and beading.
There is also a later edition that is quite similar but has a severed neck with blood around the edge.
