A completely fine place overall, but felt like a T(iki) G. I. Fridays to me. A lot of WITCO style art, but the place is very bright and has more of a sports bar feel. Nobody there working or drinking at the bar seemed to care about Tiki bars or drinks. If you were really craving a tropical drink then it would be good, but any Tiki purist can skip without regrets.

I enjoyed the Jamaican jerk pork sandwich a lot.

The Hula's Mai Tai has pineapple juice and dark rum in it. It's advertised as not sweet, but it is. Not terrible tasting, but not a classic Mai Tai or really a Hawaiian style either. 7/10

My first time here with the big kids, Diane and the Shaughnessy family. We were in Phoenix for a soccer tournament for Jenson and stopped here for lunch at Hula's modern tiki. It had lots of mugs and an excellent scorpion bowl.
