Mr. Bali Hai Tiki Farm Mug Edition I

The top lid is a slightly different color and doesn't fit very well. Glaze has a slight pinkish-orangey cast when compared to the regular brown glaze that Tiki Farm is now using on this mug design in what I'm calling Tiki Farm Edition II and onward. Holden was not happy with this version and was happy to make changes to the ones going forward. Edition I probably came out in 2003 or so.

Mr. Bali Hai Tiki Farm Mug Edition I

aka Mr. Bali Hai Tiki Farm Mug First Edition, Reproduction Mr. Bali Hai Light Orange-Brown in 20 collections

This mug is a reproduction of the original Mr. Bali Hai, the mascot for the Bali Hai Restaurant in San Diego. This version of the mug was manufactured by Tiki Farm. Mr. Bali Hai is an oblong head with a bone through the nose and large white hoop earrings, with sleepily lidded eyes. The mug comes with a lid with two straw holes. Face is slightly more full than the original vintage mug. This first edition is a slightly lighter orange-brown compared to the browner Tiki Farm versions that came later. Also, the lids have slight color variation and don't fit as well as later versions. No white eyebrows like later versions.
