Grog gave this to me. It is one in a series of modified Moai mugs that he used my 1963 Duncan mold for. Grog made a hand-built headpiece for these Moai that serves as a shot glass and also has a straw hole to drink through. He also put a rough-hewn stone finish on them. VERY COOL !!!

This is a modified Moai Mug cast from a 1963 Duncan mold. It has the addition of a hand-built headpiece that serves as a shot glass (and also has a straw hole to drink through). These were first made with a rough-hewn stone texture and glazed gray with a red removable headpiece. Later versions were made in a variety of glaze combinations, some with removable headpiece and some with the headpiece built-in/fused to the top of the Moai.
