Jenna G. and I went to this speakeasy after arriving for a symposium at Crystal Bridges. You enter through an art gallery and are greeted with flutes of champagne. It’s not full on tiki, but it has touches throughout, including the puffer fish light as you enter and floats off the enormous tree in the back.

Nikki, Ivan, Matthew, and I went after eating burgers in Berkeley and ice cream right there in Orinda. The drinks and decor are great! They don’t yet have a mug but should be getting one in 2027.

We stopped on our way back from San Diego. The tiki drinks were in totally normal restaurant cups, but the Big Kahuna was huge! The mud pie was also enormous. We had a nice view of the water.

We liked the speakeasy entrance to the bar and thought the food was pretty good.

We visited the Friday of Tiki Oasis 2026, and while we had to wait outside a little before our reservation, the music that sounded like a spaceship set the scene. We sat in a little cave and loved the plant-based food.

We went for dinner and their mug release party with Creepxotica. We got a window seat looking out over the bay, and we got to meet the artist and owner!

Matthew and I stopped on the way to Bali Hai when at Tiki Oasis 2026. We also saw the famous totem in one of our seminars!

We stayed here twice now for Tiki Oasis!

Matthew and I stopped on the way to San Diego, road tripping to Tiki Oasis 2026. We loved everything!

Harvey’s is now Caesar's Republic, but you can still make it to the top floor where they now have a steakhouse to see these framed posters from the Top of the Wheel. We also went to the Mountain Tower’s 11th and 12th floors to stand where the Sneaky Tiki had been, and it is under construction as of 7/2/26.

Enjoyed a Catamaran cocktail with Matthew who had a Three Dots and a Dash while the Hiwatters played. Maureen and Paige sat with us in our tiny tiki booth.

Stopped on the way to Zombie Village to hear the Hiwatters play.

Ivan, Nikki, Matthew and I went after Mexican in Piedmont. The volcano behind the bar occasionally smokes!

Fun night out with Matthew, Jonas, and Bri, including Mediterranean food and a visit to Hot Cookie in the Castro!

Took Pam and Alexandra to Smuggler’s Cove and then to Teakwood for Burmese!

Enjoyed an evening out with Matthew, Jen, and Steve during their Lunar New Year celebration.

We cruised around the Bay and drank a cocktail after visiting their shop.

Visiting Bart and his brother Jesse, we stayed at the Caliente Tropical for a long weekend before heading back north.
