Sam's Seafood Maori Mug
aka Sam's Seafood Lined Face Maori Mug in 48 collections
This brown, square-shaped mug was sculpted by Squid for Sam's Seafood in Huntington Beach, CA. Based on an early design from the 1960s originated by Stella Bodey. This design was also made into mug and bowl form by Beauce Pottery of Canada and Spurlin (Stella Bodey, again) did a salt and pepper set of this design. The mug debuted on August 4, 2007. The tiki has a face lined with moko with eyes squinted shut. His body has a woodgrain look. He is kneeling and has his hands on his chest. The first run of 1000 mistakenly read "Gambino for Tiki Farm 2007."
