Tiki Shell Bowl - by Tiki Diablo - for the Kon-Tiki Lounge in Tucson
in 0 collections
This bowl was handmade by Danny "Tiki Diablo" Gallardo for the Kon Tiki Lounge in Tucson. Only a handful (less than 10) were created, for serving a very large portion of the Kon Tiki signature scorpion cocktail among friends. They were never officially sold to the public, however. Made in 2015.
Each shell is resting on 3 tiki heads, depicting Danny's interpretation of one of the original Kon Tiki carvings by Milan Guanko (with a well at the top of each head for placing overproof rum or lemon extract to light on fire). The shell sits on a black glazed base that forms part of the piece.
These bowls are big: approx. 15" across (at the widest point) by 13" and approx. 7" tall.
