From Tiki Farm:
"This captivating mug depicts the bust of an elaborately tattooed Frankenstein’s Monster wearing a vested suit and bowtie.
The artist behiind this amazing design, Tom 'BigToe' Laura, said it best: 'I based this mug on my painting entitled 'The Other', which was a reimagining of Mary Shelley’s monster epic where the anti-hero jumped a tramp steamer headed to the South Pacific rather than the North Pole. I think he would have had a more happy ending that way.'
We agree. The Ultra Other features an elaboration of glazes including green, black, platinum, off-white and red. He stands 8 inches high and holds approximately 28 oz.
This is the final curtain call of this very popular mug from your friends here at Tiki Farm."
This mug was based on Big Toe's (Tom Laura's) painting, The Other. It is a re-imagining or "What If?" that considers the end of Mary Shelly's classic story of Frankenstein's Monster and what might have happened if instead of going to the North Pole at the end he had hopped a ship to the South Seas instead and found more inclusion among native islanders.
The mug is a depiction of the Monster similar to Universal's classic flat head version with bolts in the neck, but he is dressed in Victorian finery with a bow tie and suit, and his face is covered in Maori moko tattoos. Glazed in green. Manufactured by Tiki Farm and although Tom carried around a sample to many shows in advance of its release, the actual mug went on sale at the Tiki Farm booth at Tiki Oasis on Saturday, July, 31st.

From Weena Bee: "I use apoxy sculpt, acrylic paint, and waterproof sealant on the exterior of this mug. The interior is fully glazed and food safe, however I recommend treating this as a work of art. "
