This brown glazed set of Totem shaped Salt and Pepper shakers with cold painted details was manufactured by Victoria Ceramics of Japan. Although often mistaken for Polynesian/Tiki, these shakers actually belong to a set of Pacific Northwest Indian Totem pieces. The totem set consisted of at least three slightly differing head mugs, these S&P shakers, and other accompanying pieces which rounded out the set. These were sold in tourist shops throughout the Pacific Northwest.
