This mug is shaped like a palm tree trunk with a hula girl holding onto it and facing toward it. The trunk is a light brownish beige and the hula girl is finely detailed with black hair, a yellow frond skirt, and a yellow and red flower lei. This is the standing version. There are also two other variants, one where the hula girl is facing away and holding the palm tree (2-A) and one where the hula girl is kneeling away from the tree but her hands are over her head to hold onto the palm tree behind her (2-C). These were advertised as either mugs or vases, whichever use the buyer wanted them to have.

This was the event mug for the 18th annual Hukilau, held Sept. 16th -19th, 2021 at the Beachcomber Resort & Club in Pompano Beach and The Mai-Kai restaurant in Fort Lauderdale.
This mug was based on artwork by Mitch O'Connell. It is shaped like a large Octopus wearing a hat whose romantic affection is directed at the mermaid in front of him. The octopus is plying her with rum bottles and has a bunch of flowers and a diamond engagement ring behind his back, ready to pop the question. Other octopus tentacles are holding a lime and a pineapple.
Originally, John Mulder stated that all the mermaids were intended to be topless but he decided to put bikini tops on them at the last minute. However, about 5 or so topless versions made it through quality control. Additionally, reports have filtered in of some octopuses (octopi?) with fezes.

This is a tile featuring a tiki face with a dog bone shaped grimace and almond shaped eyes.
Measuring approximately 4 1/2 inches square, each tile is stamped on the back with the VanTiki studio mark and is notched to make wall hanging a snap.
These were also glazed in Cerulean and other colors.

This version of Africana Con Coletas was manufactured by C. Martinu in Spain for the Bora Bora in Madrid.
The mug is blue and features a black African mask in the center surrounded by two blue braids.
Arte 4 also made a version of Africana Con Coletas that was noticeably less sharp, possibly due to deterioration of the mold.

Jabber Pod Tile - Worn Wood Edition - by VanTiki

This is a square ceramic tile with a Jabber Pod tiki face. Jabber Pod has his mouth open wide off to the side with his eyes apparently hidden under his heavy brows.

"The Jabber Tree can be found throughout the rain forests of VanTiki Island, and for centuries the natives have been turning the tree's seed pods into small objects purported to have mystical powers. It is said that in the light of a full moon Jabber Pod tiles will whisper secrets to each other.
I hand press and glaze each ceramic Jabber Pod tile in my Kailua studio, working from a plaster mold of my original oil clay sculpture. Like all things handcrafted, no two are exactly alike - so the tile you receive will vary slightly from the photograph. Measuring approximately 4 1/2 inches square, each tile is stamped on the back with the VanTiki studio mark and is notched to make wall hanging a snap."
