This is a square ceramic tile with a Jabber Pod tiki face. Jabber Pod has his mouth open wide off to the side with his eyes apparently hidden under his heavy brows.

"The Jabber Tree can be found throughout the rain forests of VanTiki Island, and for centuries the natives have been turning the tree's seed pods into small objects purported to have mystical powers. It is said that in the light of a full moon Jabber Pod tiles will whisper secrets to each other.
I hand press and glaze each ceramic Jabber Pod tile in my Kailua studio, working from a plaster mold of my original oil clay sculpture. Like all things handcrafted, no two are exactly alike - so the tile you receive will vary slightly from the photograph. Measuring approximately 4 1/2 inches square, each tile is stamped on the back with the VanTiki studio mark and is notched to make wall hanging a snap."
