Tiki Mugs
Noa Noa - by Bai
in 1 collection
An early explorer of modern art, Paul Gauguin left France for Tahiti, where he immersed himself (1891-1893) in Maori mythology. Noa Noa, his intimate journal of writings, watercolors, and woodcuts, was discovered years after he left the island. It was published in 1901. This mug is based on one of the most famous woodcuts (often used as the cover art).
This was a limited edition of 10 issued in several color-ways.

Dead Bastard Mug - Standard Edition - by VanTiki
in 17 collections
From VanTiki's website:
"This Bastard has had enough! 7.5” long, 5.5” wide, and 3” tall, this dead fellow has been kind enough to expire with his mouth agape - letting you fill him with spirits and sip at your leisure. And best of all: it can hang on a wall. Let me say that again - IT CAN HANG ON A WALL! A handy-dandy notch is built into the base to easily hang the mug on a small screw or nail."
The presale was for this Standard Edition of 200 mugs. A Super Limited Edition of 25 Dead Bastards was announced to be released later this year in a different glaze.
The Real McCoy Woodgrain Ku
in 1 collection
A promotional mug manufactured by Tiki Farm for The Real McCoy brand rum.
The Real McCoy company launched in 2013 and produces a line of premium and super-premium aged rums. They are named after and inspired by the story of Bill McCoy. In January 1920, McCoy was the first to fill his schooner with alcohol in the Caribbean and sail it up to New York. Anchoring three miles offshore in what was then international waters, McCoy was able to legally act as a floating liquor store to the speakeasies of Manhattan. Today, their rums are handcrafted in the Prohibition Tradition - with the same authenticity as the celebrated rum that fueled the Roaring ‘20s - copper distilled, bourbon barrel-aged, no added sugars, flavors or aromatics.
This is a mug shaped like a standing Tiki with brow line covering eyes and an open grimacing mouth lined with teeth. This same design has been used for other locations, including the Tank House in Sacramento and the Mirage Center in Las Vegas. This "Woodgrain Ku" is a customizable design not exclusive to a single locale.
"The Real McCoy" is written on its back.

We rattled through ideas and some sketches with our ol' sweat shop pal Jimmy Smith, eventually settling on this sweet vessel! 40 bucks gets you this tribute to what the Moon on Grand really has to offer, including the glorious 'cheezewhiz' interior with a portion of the proceeds going to the band!
