An early explorer of modern art, Paul Gauguin left France for Tahiti, where he immersed himself (1891-1893) in Maori mythology. Noa Noa, his intimate journal of writings, watercolors, and woodcuts, was discovered years after he left the island. It was published in 1901. This mug is based on one of the most famous woodcuts (often used as the cover art).
This was a limited edition of 10 issued in several color-ways.
