Woven Raffia Water Service Set
aka Seagrass Glass in 1 collection
This is a woven raffia-covered glass set for water service.
It is a perpetually popular type of serving set that has been made for decades with slight changes by different manufacturers and under different brand labels.
The raffia serves a utilitarian purpose to prevent slick glasses from falling out of one's hands. The same reason that Plantation Rum puts raffia over its rum bottles.
One famous example of this style are the "Trader Vic's Hot Buttered Rum Glasses with Basket Holder" which are wrapped in the same kind of matching raffia.
Most recently this set was produced by Williams Sonoma. Their "Weave Wrapped Glassware collection" includes four-inch tall double old-fashioned glasses with a 12-oz. capacity; six-inch tall highballs with a 12-oz. capacity; and a 10 1/2-inch tall carafe with a 35-oz. capacity.
Shameful Tiki Room Toronto Fifth Anniversary Tiki Mug
aka Raiders of The Lost Tiki Mug in 11 collections
This mug's theme is "Raiders of The Lost Tiki Mug" and it is an assemblage of different sized crates, a rum barrel, a lantern, a shovel, a rope coil, and pick axe -- all archaeological supplies to unearth and pack the find within the topmost and largest crate whose removable lid reveals...A TIKI with a red Roman numeral V!
The lid has two straw holes to drink from.
This is truly a mug whose ingenuity is hard to see from just a picture or two and is a sculptural artwork taking advantage of all dimensions.
The Shameful Tiki Room opened on November 17, 2015, and is in the Parkdale neighborhood of Toronto. It is the sister location of The Shameful Tiki Room in Vancouver, B.C., which opened in 2013. Both locations are owned by Rod Moore.

Baby Doe Mug - First Edition - Teal Wash with Greenish Yellow Lei
in 12 collections
This Baby Doe Mug was a few years in the making. It features a stylized rendering of Baby Doe (who along with Otto hosts the annual Tiki Oasis in California) in her signature sunglass hat.
This first edition is glazed in a teal wash with greenish yellow lei around neck.
The design hearkens back to vintage ceramic head vases of the 1950s/60s. Baby Doe also wanted it to have a more cartoony/stylized face that could give the sense that it could be ANY tiki girl at Tiki Oasis. She resisted the original vision to make it photo-realistic and resemble her more closely. MP Ceramics perfected the vision after several exchanges and revisions.
After the design was made, they turned it over to John Mulder of Eekum Bookum.
The timing of the mug was supposed to come out for the 20th anniversary of Tiki Oasis in August 2020 but the COVID virus happened and the Oasis was turned into a virtual event without all the bells and whistles they had intended. She decided not to release the mug at that point.
However, in December 2020, Baby Doe decided not to sit on them any longer and released them for sale through her Facebook page. They come complete with mini earrings designed by TeeKi Togs.
The sale price is $125 which includes domestic shipping.
A second edition in pink wash with orange lei around neck is also in the works...
Tiki Oasis 2020 Paradise Point Takeover Mug - Second Edition - by Eekum Bookum
in 8 collections
The 2020 Tiki Oasis Mug is titled “Tiki Oasis Paradise Point Takeover” and is inspired by the grounds, architecture, and locale of Paradise Point Resort. Tiki Oasis’ Paradise Point mug features tikis from Caliente Tropics (Palm Springs) and the Hanalei Hotel (San Diego), where Tiki Oasis took place previously. The mug has a removable “hut” lid featuring a straw hole. Imagery featured on the mug includes tiki torches, palm trees, birds of paradise, coconuts, a rum box, and a peacock. There is also a fire feature/well for 151 high proof alcohol (or lemon extract) on the front of the mug, just below a Tiki Oasis logo.
This second and more limited special edition glaze version differs from the event release which was done in shades of teal/green. The second edition has more brown/tan tones with orange accents on the tiki torches and Bird of Paradise flower blossoms.
