Tiki Mugs
Stranger Things Demogorgon Mug - Boneyard Gray Edition - by Florian Bertmer - for Tiki Farm
in 1 collection
This mug has a vaguely dog-like body with a head that open like the petals of some strange alien flower. It is based on the Demogorgon creature in the NETFLIX series, Stranger Things, which in turn was inspired by the Dungeons and Dragons demon character, Demogorgon. This demon was frequently mentioned in AD&D supplements, but always in a minor context. Manual of the Planes (1987) stated that he ruled several layers of the Abyss.
From Tiki Farm:
"When it’s time to hail the parallel dimension, you may want to consider using the Demogorgon Tiki Mug to facilitate your journey into the Upside Down. Glazed in a boneyard gray, this mug sits perched and ready to watch Stranger Things!
Designed by Florian Bertmer and manufactured by Tiki Farm.

Glass Ashtray - for Aloha Jhoe's
in 0 collections
This is a clear round glass ashtray with a heat decal featuring a Duk-Duk figure and marked for "Aloha Jhoe's Palm Springs".
Duk-Duk is a secret society, part of the traditional culture of the Tolai people of the Rabaul area of New Britain, the largest island in the Bismarck Archipelago of Papua New Guinea, in the South Pacific. In ritual dances, members of the society invoke the male spirit duk duk and female spirit tubuan depending on which mask the dancer wears. The dancers are always male despite the fact that some are performing the role of female spirits. Women and children were forbidden to look at these figures. Both types of mask are cone-shaped and are constructed of cane and fibre, with short, bushy capes of leaves. Traditionally the duk duk was taller than the tubuan and was faceless. The tubuan had circular eyes and a crescent-shaped mouth painted on a dark background. In addition to the mask, leaves cover the torso of the dancers so that only their legs are visible.

Papua New Guinea Memorial Tablet Mug #2 - from the Eight Part Tiki Set - by Lokena
aka Spirit Board, Ancestor Tablet, Kwoi in 1 collection
Called a Memorial Tablet, spirit board, ancestor tablet or kwoi, these come from the Purari Delta area of Papua New Guinea. Like many spirit boards, it is slightly curved as it was probably made from an old canoe, imbued with its previous usage by the community who owned it. The boards were kept safely in special long-houses accessible only to men, as part of a family shrine revering the spirits and ancestors. This would ensure health, fertility, wealth and success in hunting, harvesting, warfare or trade.
This is one tumbler out of a series of 8 pieces by Lokena with an orange/brown background and hand-painted tiki on the front.
