"Handmade ceramic Tiki Mug 'Monkey' in a Turkish fez hat. ⠀ Few people know that the fez was not originally Turkish, and this headdress marks the capture of the Ottoman Empire by Byzantium. It was the Byzantines who wore such, but the Turks liked it and it was remembered in history as the Turkish national headdress. In general, in the countries of the East, especially in Egypt, India and China, the monkey symbolizes wisdom, courage, dexterity, cunning and ingenuity."
