From Trader Vic's:
" 'Mole Kumu' – Created for our upcoming OAK airport location.
The Meaning Behind the Name:
Mole: Refers to the primary taproot of a tree, representing the core foundation or base of an object.
Kumu: Denotes the trunk or base of a tree.
At the home of the Original Mai Tai, Trader Vic’s remains deeply rooted in Oakland.
Design inspired by our conversations with Oakland, California artist Timothy B. (Timothy Bluitt) and his work with the Bay Area Mural Program, we combined the symbol of Oakland with a Palm Tree symbolizing Trader Vic’s."
