Mauna-Kai Dinner Plate - by Jackson China
in 0 collections
This design features a standing tiki with moko on its face, similar to the Spurlin mug design, and a volcano. It is marked for Mauna-Kai which was a bar & restaurant in Williamsville, New York. This otherwise white plate appears to have the dark and light green design stenciled on with an airbrush technique called shadowtone or blendtone.
A pink/magenta and black version of this design was also produced for Explorer East in Syracuse, New York. This design might also have been used at other locations as well.
