This is a lidded bowl shaped like the Mai Kai.
The Mai-Kai opened in 1956 on the west side of North Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The prominent open, A-frame structure still stands to this day.
This is one in a series of Tiki Temple Bowls created by Eric October, starting with his Stockton Islander bowl built in 2013.
This is a one-off hand-built piece.
