This Tiki mug is a full-body design with a figure-eight shaped mouth and slitted eyes. Designed and made on Maui by Rob Hawes (MauiTiki). The design is based upon the ancient legend of "Kamalo and the Shark God" wherein a brave father goes in search of the Shark God in hopes of gaining vengeance. Both Rob and Kamalo survived their own personal encounters with a shark, and Rob's story inspired the creation of this mug. There are 10 artist proofs of this design and a custom version as well. This version was made for Kōloa Rum Company on Kaua'i, Hawaii.
