The Tall Two Face Tiki Mug comes from a mold manufactured by Duncan Home Ceramics. The mold was created in 1967. The mug has a different face on each side. The tiki has his thumbs up and is smiling on one side and his thumbs down and has a straight mouth on the other.
The background shows a postcard from the Mandarin Palace (1970s), which was located in the Hotel Miramar, 5th floor, located at 2345 Kuhio Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii. The Miramar Hotel was a 24 story hotel that closed in January of 2014 and has since been demolished with new structures built in its footprint. As of 2025, a Target store is at this location.
