The Chi Chi opened in 1936 and ceased to be sometime in the 1960s, around 1968 or so. This spotted ashtray features the unauthorized art of Edgar Leeteg's Hina Rapa which was originally painted in oil on velvet, portraying a topless wahine wearing a straw hat. Burgundy graphics on white. Made by Wallace China in 1953. Measures 5.5" in diameter.
