This is a mug version of H.R. Pufnstuf holding Freddy the Magic Flute.
H.R. Pufnstuf is an American children's television series created by Sid and Marty Krofft. It was the first independent live-action, life-sized-puppet program, following on from their work with Hanna-Barbera's program The Banana Splits Adventure Hour. The seventeen episodes were originally broadcast Saturday from September 6, 1969, to December 27, 1969.
The Mayor of Living Island is a friendly and helpful anthropomorphic dragon named H.R. Pufnstuf.
This version in mug form was designed by Candy Corn Crypt (Schuyler Abrams) & sculpted and manufactured by House of Modern Antiquities (Ron House).
After the run of 100 in full color, Ron did many other color-ways and themes and mash-ups of this design in limited or one-off editions. He also did more full-color versions, but unnumbered.
These were a pre-order in May of 2024 for the first run of 100 in full-color to be completed by end of Summer 2024 with first batches of 25 ready in June. Sold out by August 16th, 2024.
Ron charged $150 + $20 for shipping and handling. Schuyler charged $200 and included a small print.
