Forbidden Island Tiki Crate Mug Gecko'z Limited Edition

in 4 collections

The Forbidden Island Tiki Crate Mug was created by Wendy Cevola (aka: danlovestikis) for Forbidden Island's 5th Anniversary, and was sold at the anniversary party April 22, 2011 at the F.I. in Alameda. The mug is shaped like a shipping crate with one corner broken off to expose a Tiki inside. The set of sixty regular edition mugs are primarily dark gray with an ice blue packing around the Tiki inside. Cevola created an accompanying statue (edition of 50) with a brown crate and fire red packing inside. She refers to the mug and statue together as the "Fire and Ice" series. Additionally, there are a number of Artist Proofs of the F.I. Tiki Crate Mug with a rainbow of glaze combinations. This edition by Gecko is made in Hawaii from Wendy Cevola's molds and is made with Gecko'z specialty glazes, including red dirt.
