Explorer East Dinner Plate - by Jackson China
in 0 collections
This design features a standing tiki with moko on its face, similar to the Spurlin mug design, and a volcano. It is marked for Explorer East which was a bar & restaurant in Syracuse, New York. This otherwise white plate appears to have the pink/magenta/black design stenciled on with an airbrush technique called shadowtone or blendtone.
A green and black version of this design were also produced for the Mauna Kai in Williamsville, New York. This design might also have been used at other locations as well.
