"Ernie was known as Hawaii's Sun Tanned Irishman. He was in fact Ernie Menehune from the island of Kauai, Hawai'i. We was a crooner known throughout the Southwest from the 60's until his death in 2015 at age 95. Ernie had regular residencies at Harrah's and Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe, Tucson, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Denver and New Mexico and appeared on TV variety shows. During the 60' and early 70's he released 7 LPs and countless 45 singles. Today Ernie is one of the lesser known Hawaiian crooners, but his contribution to America's mid-century Tiki craze is no less important. So, for the first time, DigiTiki Productions has teamed up with Luna Recorded Archives (The holder of Ernie's music) to release this beautiful collection featuring a beautiful custom tiki mug by Eekum Bookum Tiki Mugs which gently cradles a custom bamboo flash containing the complete recordings of Ernie Menehune.
The mug is a faithful recreation of a tiki carved by Ernie Menehune, complete with the Kamehameha headdress and sporting the name 'Menehune' on the back."
