Doc's Place Town & Country Natural Bamboo Mug
in 0 collections
This is a hi-ball mug made of natural bamboo and with a graphic of a leafy stalk of bamboo. It was pictured in their cocktail menu and shown for serving their "Pogo-Pogo" or "Martinique Voodoo" cocktails.
An unmarked version of this natural bamboo mug with same leafy graphic was used at the Aku Aku in Las Vegas and other locations. There is also a shorter version of this unmarked mug. Both unmarked designs were used at multiple locations and sold commercially in sets during the 60s and 70s. There are matching trays and pitchers as well.
This version shown below was marked, however, and the reverse was stamped "Doc's Place at the Fabulous Town & Country Toronto, Canada".
This venue also produced a second natural bamboo mug with a graphic featuring a wahine with a ukulele under a palm tree with an island scene and an outrigger canoe in the background (marked/stamped with same locale information).
