"The wee baby Doc Parks was born in Des Moines, Iowa to his folks who were 2nd and 3rd generation San Diegans. In the spring, when they decided to move back to their hometown, Doc didn't ride in a infant car seat. It was 1980, and so, as folks do, Doc's transported him two thirds of the way across the country in a Banana Box.
In 2016, Doc created the 'Banana Life' cocktail and put it on the opening menu at Pagan Idol in San Francisco, Ca. The recipe has since been published in Matt Pietrek's & Carrie Smith's 'Minimalist Tiki' book, and it has become a beloved modern classic by tiki and rum aficionados around the world.
8yrs later, Doc Parks and Woody Miller present to you the 'Banana Life' tiki mug. The Limited run of 44 mugs were sculpted, hand-glazed and produced by Woody Miller at Pau Hana Studio in Oakland, Ca."
