Porco Lounge & Tiki Room opened in Cleveland's historic Tremont neighborhood in October 2013. Owner Stefan Was let his passion for tiki lead him into the hospitality business. Porco Lounge is the first tiki bar in Cleveland since the Kon-Tiki closed in 1976. Was used elements from the Kon-Tiki in the decor for Porco, including some lamps and bamboo from the restaurant. Also used for decor are Was' collections of swizzle sticks and tiki mugs. Was hired Shannon Smith to lead the bar program, bringing his background in craft cocktails with him, resulting in a menu of finely crafted tiki drinks.

Early bird special @ open. Sat at bar and had a fantastic time talking to Shawn and our bartender. Got the whole backstory, history and what not.

Drinks were done very well and I will revisit whenever I'm in Cleveland. I got up at 330am just to catch a flight to insure I could be there at opening.

Great find! Pleasantly suprised because I had no idea what to expect and it was much better than I was expecting! Just the perfect amount of kitsch, great decor, delicious food and drinks. The staff was awesome - especially John the bartender - and the tofu sticks are HIGHLY recommended! I was in Cleveland for work, but I met new tiki friends at Porco. Tiki is such a great community, and I love being a part of it. I will make a point to head back to Cleveland soon (a 2 hour flight for me) for the primary purpose of visiting Porco again!
