Tiki Bars
Ohana Tiki Lounge
Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong SAR China (Closed)
Ohana Tiki Lounge (formerly known as Mahalo Tiki Lounge) opened in 2015 in the Wan Chai section of Hong Kong. It was owned by Max Traverse, who also owned Honi Honi in Hong Kong (and later opened the Maka Hiki Tropical Bar & Grill in its stead). The extensive drink menu was mostly new tropical creations, including bowls for sharing, though some classic tiki drinks made appearances as well. Many drinks were served in tiki mugs. A small menu of poke was available, including a set lunch deal. The sleek decor was heavy on bamboo, with tiki masks.
Closed @ January 2023.
The Tiki Bungalow
Dongcheng Qu, China
Owner Phil Tory opened this tiki bar in September 2015 in the Dongcheng district of Beijing. A brief earlier incarnation of Bungalow was in another part of town. Most seating was outdoors, but a small amount of seating was available indoors with the bar. Tory and his aloha-shirt clad team served a slate of serious classic tiki cocktails. The small interior had tall tiki poles flanking a large collection of bottles.
In April 2017, a nearby fire didn't harm the Tiki Bungalow space, but the decision was made to raze its building anyhow.
The Tiki Bungalow reopened at 46 Fangjia Hutong (enter from Jiaodaokou Bei Santiao, next to Peiping Taphouse). The bar is slightly bigger than it used to be when housed at its former location. The bar menu is pretty exhaustive, showcasing house cocktails as well as a wide selections of cocktails from other tiki bars from around the world.
Liki Tiki
Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States (Closed)
Liki Tiki was a small juice bar/refreshment stand inside the Colorado Springs Bike Shop. The stand served lemonade, smoothies, and other light refreshments. The bike shop has been operating since 1973, but the small tikified stand was a newer addition, having inherited a large tiki from The Castaways in nearby Manitou Springs. The bike shop is easily spotted with its front lighthouse facade.
Liki Tiki was closed in 2019 in anticipation of the relocation of the Cerberus Brewing Company. Since 2016, Cerberus had run a brewpub on the corner opposite the bike shop (702 W. Colorado Ave.), and its popularity triggered the need for expansion. However, as of summer 2021, it appears Cerberus has remained where it is and the bike shop is still operating.
Kreepy Tiki Bar & Lounge
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States (Closed)

Kreepy Tiki announced the bar closing on April 1, 2017. The tattoo shop remained open but the bar was replaced with Old Ghosts Odditorium, an antique and oddities store.
The Tiki Hideaway
Charlotte, North Carolina, United States (Closed)
The Tiki Hideaway was opened by owner Mike Barrea in December 2014 in the Myers Park neighborhood of Charlotte. The mid-century modern tinged space had a thatched overhang surrounding the bar, and a paneled relief back wall with stylized tapa designs and a Marquesan-esque face. Behind the bar was a towering Moai, housing the upper end of the bar's rum selection. The room was ringed with back-lit graphic tropical scenes. Orange vinyl seating contrasted nicely against the organic textures in the room. There was a small patio of outdoor seating.
The drink menu was a small, focused list of classic tropical cocktails, and there was a selection of higher-end sipping rums available. The food menu was in the form of small plate selections, and a few desserts.
After nearly a year in business, Tiki Hideaway closed in early November 2015.
Kahuna Tiki
Los Angeles, California, United States (Closed)
Opened July 1st, 2014.
Kahuna Tiki was a tiki-themed sushi restaurant with tropical drinks.
Kahuna Tiki initially opened without a liquor license and was only a sushi restaurant. A liquor license was added in June 2015, but for beer & wine only, no hard alcohol, so the tropical drinks on offer were made with sake, soju and the like (Their second location, Kahuna Tiki TU, has a full liquor license and an expanded cocktail menu featuring drinks with hard alcohol).
There was a very large outdoor patio with rock features, waterfalls, pools, trees, and beachcomber lamps.
Kahuna Tiki was known for its luau presentations and burlesque shows as well.
Closed September 28th, 2025. Their sister location, Kahuna Tiki TU, remains open.
Bootlegger Tiki
Palm Springs, California, United States
Bootlegger Tiki opened in 2014, in the same spot that decades prior had housed the Palm Springs location of Don the Beachcomber. The owners also operate Ernest Coffee, right nextdoor. There is a small covered outdoor patio.
Le Tiki Lounge
Paris, France (Closed)
Le Tiki Lounge opened in 2012 in the Folie-Mricourt neighborhood in the 11th arrondisement, south of Belleville.

Bai also sculpted some wonderful versions of the Suffering Bastard for their house mug.
Closed November 2022.
Okolemaluna Tiki Lounge
Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, United States (Closed)
Okolemaluna Tiki Lounge opened in November 2010, and closed in September 2012. (Okole maluna is Hawaiian for "bottoms up"; the Hawaiian "cheers".) Owners Brice and Lisa Ginardi put the focus solidly on the quality of the cocktails, serving classic tiki recipes made with locally-sourced fresh ingredients. As any cocktail lover who has visited Hawaii can tell you, this was a huge boon, a respite from the over-sweet, over-chemical drinks found everywhere in the islands. Okolemaluna's menu had about twenty cocktails, a mix of historic tiki cocktails from the great Polynesian palaces, and some new creations. The menu also had a small selection of pupus.
If you finished the entire drink menu, you could join the Okolemaluna Mug Club: you got your own custom mug kept on a special shelf behind the bar.
Beyond the drinks, Okolemaluna also sought to set a historic tone with the environment. The music was a mix of vintage and modern Exotica, and the space was filled with bamboo and lauhala matting. There was a lava rock waterfall, and some decor from defunct tiki bars.
