Tiki Grove is an open air tiki bar and restaurant in a coconut grove 300 meters from the beach on the tiny Indonesian island of Gili Trawangan. Visible from the island are two active volcanoes, on the neighboring islands of Lombok and Bali. Nestled in this true tropical location, Canadian-born couple Tommy and Catherine Milburn constructed a mainland American-inspired Polynesian pop tiki bar, taking full advantage of the locally available materials and carvings for decoration. Tiki Grove opened on September 15, 2017.

Opened in 1959, Tiki Bob's Mainland Rendezvous, more commonly shortened to Tiki Bob's Mainland, was the second location of the fabled Tiki Bob's to be located in San Francisco, the original was at Post & Taylor. This short-lived location catered to the nearby businessmen by offering "lingerie shows" where young women walked through the restaurant in their skivvies. Ostensibly, the idea was that these models would inspire the businessmen to then purchase the lingerie to bring home for their wives. Lingerie shows lived on in the neighborhood for quite some time -- nearby Sutter Station tavern was still doing them as late as the 2000s.

Today, the same space now holds Pagan Idol.

Tiki Underground was opened in February 2017 by Sean and Jessie Coffey.

The large space was lined with bac-bac matting and bamboo, with plenty of thatch. There were carved Witco pieces, and light-up moai.

They served cocktails and beer and also had a food menu and live music.

November 24, 2021 was Tiki Underground’s last call in this Hudson location. The bar moved to a new space at 1832 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 in September of 2022.

This popular, lively nightclub in Bora Bora opened in June 2015, and had lots of wood, thatch, and genuine jungle with amazing seaside views.

Tiki Philly opened in July 2016, near the Philadelphia City Hall.

The decor was simple: an orange wall covered with brightly-painted inexpensive tiki masks, and a painted mural on the side. A short menu of tiki drinks was offered, a mix of traditionals and new creations, and there was a small selection of food.

Closed in March 2020.

Tiki-Ko opened in Bakersfield in June 2016, and is owned by Roy Scarazzo and Sonya Gamargo. The interior, designed and built by Danny "Tiki Diablo" Gallardo, features vintage Witco pieces, beachcomber lamps, turquoise blue upholstery, and artwork by Tiki tOny. A full slate of traditional tropical cocktails is on offer, and there is a souvenir logo coconut mug available.

In June 2021, The Sinking Ship, a downstairs bar level, was opened. This basement bar, which has a capacity of 70 — more than twice the upstairs bar — has a mix of first come first served seating, and seven reserved areas, which can accommodate parties of two (like Quint's Cove) up to eight guests (Banana Crate Booth, which requires a $100 deposit good toward the bar tab). The entrance for The Sinking Ship is a few doors down from the main Tiki-Ko entrance at the corner. The Sinking Ship is packed with great details, from the Papua New Guinea masks throughout, to the sawfish rostrum hanging behind the bar, to the giant container of "Torpedo Juice" at the end of the bar. Flicker flame bulbs add atmosphere. The main ceiling is a giant map of the Caribbean, but other parts of the room have different ceiling treatments, including aged lauhala matting and corrugated metal papered in old Japanese newsprint. And there is something new to notice on each visit...

Owner Kyle Boyd opened Tiki Maya Bar in early 2016, when he took over a floundering bar located on his property. The bar sat right over the water in the Caribbean Sea, with a thatched roof that was ready to get the complete tiki treatment. Boyd grew up in Dallas and had fond memories of his time spent at the Dallas Trader Vic's, and hoped to transform this Caribbean getaway into a Polynesian one.

However, for one reason or another, this never really came to fruition and by all accounts the bar closed some time after Summer 2018 -- with no recent reviews as of 2021 on TripAdvisor or Google Reviews or other review sites online. Its website was also taken down and its Facebook page abandoned.

The Tiki Maya House beach rental stands on shore nearby and its website is functioning and shows pictures of the bar also.

Perhaps the bar property is in transition and will re-open in some fashion soon...

Tiki Bar Head Hunter is a small but thoroughly decorated tiki bar inside Omote-machi Play Town in Okayama. It opened in November 2011, and is owned by Yosiaki Taniguchi. Logo artwork was created for the bar by Mookie Sato.

The bar is encrusted with bamboo and festooned with netting, with thatch and float lamps and pufferfish and everything you want to see in a classic tiki bar.

Though the space is small, live acts perform regularly at Head Hunter, with an emphasis on musicians that get the mid-century American vibe.

Head Hunter is cash only.

When Tiki Tolteca opened in May 2013, it was the first tiki bar to operate in New Orleans in decades. It sat within a Mexican taqueria called Felipe's, and as such was a blend of Tiki and Latin American influences. They made their own syrups and used fresh juices, and incorporated south-of-the-border spirits like mezcal, pisco and cachaa beyond the expected rum. Food was available from Felipe's below.

The space blended exposed brick with bamboo and thatch, and there were many beachcomber lamps. Drinks were served in tiki mugs, or in the heavy, blue-rimmed glasses that are familiar in Mexican restaurants.

Beachbum Berry's Latitude 29 is located right next door.

On September 27th, 2021, Tiki Tolteca announced their permanent closure... with the caveat that they might still host private events on occasion within the space.

Tiki Iniki opened in Princeville, on the north side of the island of Kauai, in 2013. It was brought to life by Michele Rundgren, wife of famed all-over-the-musical-map Todd Rundgren. The two fell in love with Kauai through their visits to the Coco Palms resort. They moved to Kauai just after Hurricane Iniki destroyed the resort. All these years later, they have now opened a place of their own.

A sister Tiki Iniki location came and went in Atlanta, operated by a licensee without the Rundgrens' involvement.

Ukuleles of Felton was the retail presence for Tiki King (Pat Baron), who has long been a purveyor of fine, hand-crafted tiki tchotchkes and a friend to ukulele players everywhere. It opened in Felton in November 2010.

The focus of the store was on ukuleles. From beginning Flea ukuleles all the way up to high-end fine ukes.

There were also plenty of King's famous tiki necklaces and keychains, and tiki mugs and other small tiki items, too.

Closed June 24th, 2018.

Tiki Bar opened in January 2008 in Ponferrada, in the province of Len. The bar served tropical cocktails and hosted live music, mainly rock & roll. The bar was a celebration of midcentury American pop culture.

It appears they closed some time in 2010 to 2011.

The location is now home to La Posada Club.

There is another Tiki Bar location on the other side of Spain at Calle La Rioja, 39, Gandía. It opened in 2010.
