Tiki Bars
Smoke Tiki
San Jose, California, United States (Closed)
This cartoony tiki bar in San Jose opened in 2005, and closed in early 2010. Smoke Tiki was a smokehouse, and served dishes featuring their own smoked meats. The restaurant had lots of tikis, some carved of wood, others (like the outside tiki head) made of metal, and a large metal palm tree at the indoor bar. Had a large back patio with its own bar. Its loud music and lighting were more suitable to a disco than a tiki bar.
The Monkey's Paw Tropical Tapas & Tiki Lounge - Macon
Macon, Georgia, United States

The Monkey's Paw closed their Downtown Grill location and re-opened at this new location in the basement of Pearl Passionate Cuisine & Cocktails (which closed June 23rd, 2024).
The Pearl venue became a new location called The Monkey's Paw Tropical Tapas on July 11th, 2024 with tapas dining upstairs and the Monkey's Paw Tiki Lounge downstairs.
Reservations must specifically choose which areas patrons wish to reserve (restaurant or lounge).
House of Tiki - West 17th Street - Costa Mesa
Costa Mesa, California, United States (Closed)
House of Tiki was owned by Wes Johnson, and sold new merchandise, including aloha wear, tiki mugs, home decor, and of course tikis. This was the second location for House of Tiki, having moved from its original location (used from 2003-2008) to this location within a WWII quonset hut in December 2008. House of Tiki closed in September 2009.
Capt. J's Hurricane Tiki Room
Tilburg, Netherlands
Opened @November 2022.
From Captain J's Hurricane Tiki Room:
"Capt. J's Hurricane is a completely new concept in Tilburg.
A real tropical tiki room and latin club in the middle of the center.
There are few ways to escape modern problems,
but what if there was a place that transported you to another world?
The ultimate achievement in escapism. Enter the Tiki Room."
*NOTE: Capt. J's Hurricane is located in the De Lollipop building. Since an icon like De Lollipop can of course never disappear, De Lollipop will continue to exist as a festival and as a regularly recurring Saturday evening event under the name 'Lollipop Outdoor'.
Liki Tiki
Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States (Closed)
Liki Tiki was a small juice bar/refreshment stand inside the Colorado Springs Bike Shop. The stand served lemonade, smoothies, and other light refreshments. The bike shop has been operating since 1973, but the small tikified stand was a newer addition, having inherited a large tiki from The Castaways in nearby Manitou Springs. The bike shop is easily spotted with its front lighthouse facade.
Liki Tiki was closed in 2019 in anticipation of the relocation of the Cerberus Brewing Company. Since 2016, Cerberus had run a brewpub on the corner opposite the bike shop (702 W. Colorado Ave.), and its popularity triggered the need for expansion. However, as of summer 2021, it appears Cerberus has remained where it is and the bike shop is still operating.

At Swizzle, you can."
*NOTE: Swizzle announced its closing on social media with the last day planned for July 19th, 2025.
The Enchanted Tiki Room - Tokyo
Maihama, Urayasu, Japan
The original show which premiered in Tokyo Disneyland at the park's opening in 1983 is long gone. In 1999 it closed to make way for The Enchanted Tiki Room: Now Playing Get The Fever!, which was a Las Vegas-style lounge music show. In 2008, Stitch took over the Tiki Room with Stitch Presents "Aloha E Komo Mai!"
Tiki Hideaway - at the Mean-Eyed Cat Bar - Manchester
Manchester, United Kingdom
This is the third in a series of Tiki Hideaways (the first opened in Leeds and the second opened in Liverpool at a sister Mean-Eyed Cat). It is part of the Escapism Bar Group family, which was founded in 2004 by husband and wife team Phil and Mel Harrison.
This space was previously home to a Thai BBQ restaurant that closed in October 2022.
This third Tiki Hideaway opened September 28th, 2023 in the basement under The Mean-Eyed Cat, and resembles the other two versions with a long bamboo bar, thatching, lit tiki mask wall sconces, palm frond wallpaper, and stools around the perimeter.
There is also a photo booth.
Tiki Beat Bar & Club
Regensburg, Germany
Opened in 2013.
The venue has a raised stage at the back and is known for its live music. The large main room can have tables and chairs moved to easily accommodate a large crowd.
Each tiki flanking the main bar weighs an estimated 500 kilograms and was specially designed for the occasion by the Regensburg Tiki artist Kai Sarnes (alias Haikai). This artist friend is also responsible for their house tiki mugs.
Broken Compass Tiki Bar
Burbank, California, United States
Opened in 2019 on the site of what used to be Buchanan Arms, a British pub.
Upon opening, there were minimal changes made to the decor (some skeletons and cutlases and nautical netting) but this was in keeping with what the owners described as a pirate bar serving up British pub fare (Fish n’ Chips, Bangers n’ Mash, and Shepherd’s Pie).
However, from early on they had a heavily tiki influenced cocktail menu.
The cocktail program and regular food menu received excellent reviews and customers were told that they were going to lean more heavily toward tiki with future updates.
Further remodeling took place and in November 2022, the bar re-opened with a much more heavily tiki influenced interior including tons of rattan and thatched huts. The pirates and skeletons are still there also, but the overall tropical ambiance is much enhanced -- right down to Jose and Juan, skeletal versions of the parrots found in Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room.
The name phased out from "The Burbank Pub" and into "Broken Compass" some time around the beginning of 2023.
