The Harbor Hut has been family owned and operated since 1951.
There is also a fish and chips take-out building on the property called "The Li'l Hut".
Their original outdoor tikis have deteriorated and they have replaced some of them with more modern carvings. One old standing rootball headed tiki has lost his body and just the head remains if you compare earlier to later photos below...
We stopped on our way back from San Diego. The tiki drinks were in totally normal restaurant cups, but the Big Kahuna was huge! The mud pie was also enormous. We had a nice view of the water.
Not a Tiki bar anymore, but there are clues to its past glory here and there. The Big Kahuna is a gigantic, sugary, high-octane Mai-Tai-ish drink that I highly recommend to either start or finish the evening.
