Located in the Canvas Condos tower, Esoticos chic take on the retro Polynesian Pop theme features bold tropical wallpaper offset by black-and-white checkerboard flooring and a contemporary exposed ceiling. Lush greenery ties together décor such as a Hawaiian surfboard, muted sconce lamps and track lighting. Potted plants surround the patio while a backlit bar features a bamboo footrest and nearly 230 rums, including Dalla Polas own label, Alamea. Eventually, the goal is to carry 365 rums.

*NOTE: On 11/18/22, they opened a speakeasy adjacent space, the Kaona Room, which is accessible through either Esotico's interior secret door or through an exterior secret door beneath next door's Caribbean Water Supply. The Kaona Room is a bit more traditional tiki with its decor, and is more than just overflow seating -- including an entirely separate bar. For more on the Kaona Room, please see separate listing.

I made reservations for the Marketing ladies night during the Miami Sales Conference. Luckily I have awesome coworkers who indulge my need to seek out any and all tiki bars in a given city. The space was very laid back and the service was very friendly. They seemed very happy to have "real tiki people" visit and were more than happy to take pictures, hand out coasters, and go the extra mile to make the presentation look outstanding. The trays with dry ice and fire were extremely fun and photogenic. The food was also a highlight, with a large menu and a memorable octopus bowl.
