Opened in 2023, Bernard’s Tiki Room is located in the upstairs room of the historic Arvada Tavern in downtown Arvada, Colorado. You can enter Bernard's through the phone booth downstairs in the Tavern, hipster prohibition style.

Bernard's is generally open evenings after 6pm Thur-Sat competently serving classic tiki drinks, and is known to host various tiki themed events and live bands.

Bernard's features a somewhat less visually impactful tiki bar setting than many, all in one large, square room - but it is cozy nonetheless.

Looks like they're now only open Fri and Sat eves, from 6pm to "close". The drinks are still good and reasonably priced as that goes, and the bartendress was friendly, but it's unfortunate they still don't have any swag/branded mugs or anything yet, a year after they opened? In any case it's worth a visit (and the food downstairs in the main bar is fantastic) if you're in Olde Town Arvada, which has become quite hip in the past year (when busy, do yourself a favor and park in the free RTD ramp on the south side of Olde Town, next to the Harkins movie theater and light rail - Bernard's is 2 blocks North).

Menu images from a visit not long after they opened. Good drinks, friendly staff.

Looks like this location is currently "Temporarily closed", with no further explanations on their socials.

Visited again with friends from out of town, who loved the space and the drinks, but not the far too loud country/folk music being played live. The singer was fine/talented, but the theme was jarring and this space is too small for amplified music in any case. On the plus side, It seems they have added more decor/lights, possibly, so visually it's a pretty fun space. No swag yet though, and the drink glasses are the standard cheap barconic/barware tiki fare.
