Havana Club Rum, Liquor Brand - White
in 0 collections
Before the revolution in 1959, Havana Club’s logo was a tree.
This early 1960s swizzle logo has a round circle which symbolizes the sun that shines on Cuba and makes its rum rich and warm.
The most interesting detail of the logo is its mascot icon. It’s a figure of Giraldilla, the emblem of the city of Havana and its free spirit.
La Giraldilla, is a woman statue on the tower of the Castillo de la Real Fuerza. She is supposedly Inés de Bobadilla, successor of her husband as the governor of Cuba in 1539.
In 1995, Havana Club started a new marketing era after they completed a joint venture with Pernod Ricard in 1993. Since that time, a much smaller La Giraldilla took her place on top of the sun and "Havana Club“ is printed on the sun.
