Home Tiki Bars
The ao`ao` hea olala Terrace
Glienicke/Nordbahn, Germany
Welcome to the aoao
hea olala terrace.
The idea that we start to build our own home tiki bar was a slow process. We just dont have space to build it inside of our appartment. When I realized that there is no german home tiki bar here on mytikilfe I just had to do it. The only space we had was outside on our terrace. So we looked for construction that is light engouh and water/wether resistent. We were lucky to get the bamboo construction from BAMBUS DREAMS in their clearance sale. Due to the weather here in Germany most of the decotations are removable. So for all future visitors to look will allways be a littel diffrent in the details. The mugs and the liquor are inside and I will get them out for vitors of course. I didnt make pictures of all stuff togehter by now. Our littel hideaway is just half a mile out of Berlin. We hope to bring a littel of ALOHA to our small village.
Rapa Matatiki
Niš, Serbia
Hello ladies and gentlemen! My home tiki bar on the terrace ,,Rapa Matatiki" it is ready for the spring and summer seasons for relaxation and a good atmosphere. It is intended for both day and night, has fine lighting, is tucked in just as it should be, and is firmly protected from various weather conditions. Still, as partially outdoor, it is prone to severe weather. You will notice that my tiki mugs are for display only, but instead of it, we will drink in custom-printed regular mugs with various tropical-themed prints and each of them has our Rapa Matatiki logo printed. Yeah, that logo, the base of it is paid, professionally made, and I did custom adjustments. I even purchased a font. Some things there are custom-made, such as those totem-alike things, and that big tiki bust is custom-made just for us, purchased from a professional potter who makes things out of clay. It is made of three segments with the first one (torso) being a candle holder, it is designed to light a candle there, and holes glow. The location of tiki bar is in the city Niš, Serbia.

Kapu Lounge 2.0: Tropicade
Kingston, Tennessee, United States
Named after my first attempt at a home Tiki Bar in the Phoenix Metro area in the early 2000s, Tropicade 2.0 features more space, better decor and arcade games. Combining two of my favorite things things tiki and 80's arcades. The bar features a full-size retro style arcade machine and virtual pinball machine as well as a smaller countertop retro style arcade machine. The bar features a few vintage pieces, some modern recreations, DIY and things I've managed to collect in my travels. I'm constantly adding things, so this bar will never be completed. Rum selection varies depending on what I drank up last weekend.

Cracka-Toa’s Hideaway

In a corner of my apartment, a Witco Bar sits… upon it lies a cracked Trader Sam’s Rum Flight cup… Cracka-Toa! A lovely little themed area grew around him, and became a lovely hideaway.
TikiJeffs
Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States
TikiJeffs, my backyard tiki bar, started with just four pallets nailed together with a plywood top and bamboo skirting around the bottom and for a roof. It was used so much for weekends and semi annual blowout parties that I decided to tear it down and rebuild it bigger and better to what you say now…
It was featured in Exotica Moderne Issue 20 (along with the Louisiana Tiki Festival), as well as in local publications (In Register & 225 magazine).
