Typhoon Tommy
aka. Tom Allsmiller – Merritt Island, Florida, United States
Typhoon Tommy and his wife Kari Allsmiller founded the Magical Tiki Meetup in Orlando, FL.
He is also the co-author, along with Trader Brandon, to A Field Guide to Tiki Decorating.
Typhoon Tommy is a Multi TEA award winning scenic artist in the theme park industry. During his 9 + year career he has worked on projects for all Orlando theme parks and various museums and restaurants across the country.
Tommy has worked on designing and fabricating several spaces, including the Suffering Bastard tiki bar and Tahiti Gil's Fare Mananui AirBnB.
Most recently, Tommy worked as the creative director for the Mai-Kai restoration which was unveiled at the end of 2024.
