This company started out as "Cheekytiki", a tiki outfitter based out of London, England. They were established in 2001 by founder Jamie Wilson.
Cheekytiki was renowned for their input on the Mahiki line of Tiki Bars and for their ceramic tiki mugs (that for quite a long time included designs by Bai Tiki).
@April 2020 they re-branded themselves as Little Grass Shack and although they still produce ceramics, their scope changed to offer a wider catalogue of island lifestyle products.
@April 2024, their company made another huge change, as Jamie states in their Instagram feed:
"At the Core of the Little Grass Shack is Myself, my partner Anjy and my sister Holly. Like many, Covid had a distinct effect on us, both business wise and personally and we decided it was an opportunity for change.
So, Holly has left Hackneys Urban Jungle and is now running our new much improved warehouse in the High desert of Southern Spain, surrounded by the Andalucian mountains. From where we can supply all of our customers around the world without the prices being affected too much by the rising costs of the UK.
Myself and Anjy have relocated to the edge of the Costa Rican Jungle where we are building our dream home surrounded by the inspiration that comes with it.
Part of our project includes a new purpose built 2000 sq ft pottery for all of our ceramics. From here we can keep our costs low and create jobs for our local community."
