Kurt Klockau is a 3D artist living on the Oregon Coast. After his high school years at Interlochen Arts Academy and two years at the Kansas City Art Institute, Kurt moved out to Southern California to study with some of the most talented artists in the animation industry – learning from Paul Felix, Charles Zembillas, and Steve Silver – who solidified his knowledge of composition, shape design, color and background layout. Upon graduation, Kurt landed his first full time game job building and lighting environments for PS2 games. Since then he has spent the last 20 years as a professional artist and has been tasked with many different roles – including character art, environment art, lighting, FX, camera design, direction and management. He is currently working as a Lead Materials Artist at Cloud Chamber.
He has also collaborated on mug designs with Munktiki.
