Langbein, in addition to being a designer, produced his own lines of decorative items and tableware through his company, Edward E. Langbein Giftware in Brooklyn, NY between the late 1930's and early 1960's. His designs were produced in Italy and marked 'ED LANGBEIN ORIGINAL ITALY'. Some of his work is on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and he was part of the 1957 exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum in NYC entitled 'Table Settings: The Old With The New' along with the works of such noted designers as Russel Wright, Raymond Loewy and Eva Zeisel. Among tiki collectors he is known for his textured coconut ceramics.
